Laura & Rebecca met in their early 20s at their first job in the Chicago PR industry. They became fast friends over their love of coffee, healthy eating & home workout DVDs. Shortly after, Rebecca launched Bettie Bomb, a Chicago PR & marketing firm, while Laura went on to work for multiple top agencies in Chicago.
20+ years, two husbands named Mike, five kids, five pups, and MANY clients later, they’ve made their casual conversation of ‘hey, we should work together someday’ a reality by joining forces. These ladies regrouped & reinvented a bit, taking Bettie Bomb from a one-woman show to a duo act and expanding to South Florida!

Rebecca founded Bettie Bomb, Inc. in 2005 after working heavily in Chicago’s hospitality scene with a variety of top-tier restaurant groups. Today, with vast experience specializing in hospitality and beyond, Rebecca focuses on local independent businesses, regional divisions, and national brands in the health & wellness, beauty, retail, fashion, and philanthropic spaces across the country, specializing in Chicago and South Florida.

Wine lover (because mom of three!). ALSO wife of a Mike. Peloton peddler, country music fan, BRAVO TV binge watcher. Lover of all things food with 20+ years of PR experience in lifestyle and hospitality.
Laura has spent her years of PR and marketing specializing in the hospitality and lifestyle industries working at a variety of premier boutique PR agencies in Chicago. With a specialty in national media relations, she has long-standing relationships with presses of all genres, guiding strategy for some of the nation’s most talented chefs, restaurants, premier events, and hotels.
Christine rosko
Coffee addict with severe wanderlust and literary dreams of Gatsby proportions. Lover of all things theater, dogs and cold weather. Find her wandering bookstores or getting lost in a Broadway show. 15 years in PR and communications from corporate cubicle to home office.
Christine is an independent public relations consultant with fifteen years dedicated to the industry. She has provided public relations, marketing, content creation, and event management to many industries, including hospitality, food & beverage, health & wellness, luxury, entertainment, non-profit, and more. Creating targeted communication strategies, influencer marketing campaigns, and event programming, she is an expert in all things writing.
Katrina Carpenter
Suburban chicken tender and mom to three kids and three cats. Another wife of a Mike. Eastern Michigan University grad. Metro Detroit native, DivaDance regular, vinyl lover, and documentary watcher. Enjoys writing and traveling, and speaks some Spanish.
Katrina joined Bettie Bomb in March 2023 and currently serves as Operations Manager, keeping the agency running smoothly while supporting the team's PR and marketing efforts. She handles everything from day-to-day administration to PR projects. With several years of experience as a virtual administrative specialist, she has supported small business owners, start-up founders, filmmakers, attorneys, and busy freelancers across the STEM, legal, entertainment, and tech industries. She keeps projects organized and moving forward behind the scenes so the rest of the team can stay focused on clients and creative work.
KATE PACHOLEK
Polish-born. Based in the Chicago area. Cat lover. Usually on the move between TV studios, client events and volunteer shifts, with a soft spot for a great story and a good cause.
Kate is an independent public relations consultant with a background in marketing, advertising and social media. A passion for finding and sharing a good story ultimately pulled her into PR. Her experience spans hospitality, travel, food and beverage, consumer goods, retail, entertainment, technology, wellness, beauty, sports and philanthropy. Kate turns good stories into media pitches, creative content, influencer collaborations and events that give people something to talk about.
Outside of work, Kate is a lead volunteer and pro bono publicist for several animal rescues, supporting media outreach, fundraising, adoption events and gala planning. Her calendar may be full, but there’s usually room for one more rescue story.
